Apple 'Jonagold' is a dual purpose apple variety that originated in New York. The fruits are particularly large with pale green-yellow skins that are flushed with red. The flesh is crisp with a creamy-white colour. The flavour is a combination of sweetness and sharpness with a rich aromatic taste. Apple 'Jonagold' can be harvested from mid October and is extremely versatile - eat the fruits fresh, cook, juice or dry them, or make your own cider.
